I'm Jan, a concept developer, creative strategist, producer, and landscape photographer based in Cologne, Germany.
I’ve always been passionate about stories!
Stories have always captivated me — no surprise since I grew up surrounded by them: ancient history brought to life through tales of the people who lived it, German fairy tales, and an early love of cinema.
At first, I wanted to study history, but then I watched The Matrix, and my plans shifted. I wanted to do film. Films with an as unique angle to a story as in The Matrix. Always finding a new way to tell a story and making it fresh and exciting.
So, I studied film, went then to Australia to experience a different culture, and ended up at a marketing production agency as a production assistant.
There I learned about storytelling in marketing and was hooked. Coming back to Germany I did my master’s in marketing.
Since then I have been combining concept & strategy development and content production, to create unique content and stories, that stand out and that build a lasting connection with a brand’s followers.
I'm constantly seeking inspiration in everything – books, films, history, shopping malls...
When I'm not immersed in creative projects, I love spending time with my dog, catching up with friends, and challenging myself with chess or swimming.
